The essence of art lies in exploration

The essence of art is exploration. Enlightenment comes from self-realization, through dialogue and connection with all phenomena of heaven and earth. It is about feeling and inspiration in self-awareness, examining everything from a 360-degree perspective without overstepping boundaries. Today, I comprehended a principle of painting: the concept of "regarding white as black" in Chinese painting often leads to obsession with either white, black, or gray. Once focused, one can easily become trapped by immediate technique, just as refinement in craftsmanship can confine one to skill.

Distilling and extracting its essence, internalizing and externalizing it, lies in the ease and naturalness of expression—acting in accordance with the momentum. This so-called "following the momentum" is the freedom of ink and brush to flow freely, the freedom of a mental state unconstrained by individual intervention, the freedom of natural cycles like the moon's waxing and waning, the freedom analogous to Schrödinger's cat theory—it is the harmonious state where both the self and the object are forgotten.

This is a state, a state generated from life experiences, and life experiences lie in the unity of learning, reflection, and verification in daily practice.
